My name is Mark, and I am the guy behind Twisted Oak. 

Most of my career was spent as an Account Executive in the Entertainment Industry, but I also worked for a cookie company headquartered in Spain. 

I light candles all the time and it’s amazing how they can change the atmosphere of a space. I started to pay attention to the labels and realized that I didn't know what was in the candles I was burning. I’ve always had a creative side and decided to take up candle making as a hobby. 

Surprisingly, there’s a great deal of science behind crafting a combustion machine called a candle. Container size, appropriate wick size, premium fragrances with no paraben or phthalates. I wanted to experience a clean burning candle made from soy wax where I was in control of the ingredients. No more big box store candles for me!

My hobby grew into a small business where I am now The Chandler (candle maker). I also handle design, marketing, purchasing and shipping. All of this is done from my candle studio located in the hills of San Antonio, Texas. I am surrounded by beautiful oak trees, deer, squirrels and a hawk that has its eye on my small dog Baxter. All inspiration for my candle line.

My candles have a minimal farmhouse design with scents that bring you back to a simpler time and create a peaceful atmosphere in your home. Thanks for listening.
